As a Lead SACT Nurse with us, you will play a pivotal role in leading the safe, effective, and high‑quality delivery of systemic anti‑cancer therapy (SACT). Acting as the clinical lead for the SACT unit, you will oversee daily operations, ensure adherence to best practice guidelines, and lead a team of skilled nurses to deliver personalised, compassionate care. What You’ll Do
- Provide expert clinical leadership and oversight to ensure safe and efficient delivery of SACT services
- Lead and develop a high‑performing nursing team, fostering a positive and collaborative culture
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance, patient safety standards, and regulatory frameworks
- Oversee patient flow, scheduling, and treatment capacity to optimise service delivery
- Lead clinical audits, incident management, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Drive service innovation and enhance the patient experience through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Support workforce planning, training, and ongoing professional development of nursing staff
- Maintain advanced clinical competence in SACT administration and management of treatment‑related toxicities
What You’ll Have
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration
- Significant post‑registration experience in oncology/haematology and SACT administration (minimum 5 years)
- Proven leadership and senior clinical experience (minimum 3 years)
- Strong understanding of clinical governance, audits, risk, and incident management
- Current UKONS SACT Passport
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) qualification (or willingness to work towards)
- Post‑registration qualification in oncology/haematology and/or leadership
- A commitment to delivering high‑quality, safe, and compassionate patient care
