Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer Electrical & Plumbing/Heating

Responsibilities

Provide technical diagnosis and solutions for gas, hot & cold water systems, electrical maintenance and plumbing/heating installations. Perform fault‑finding, maintenance, repair and installation of these systems and liaise regularly with customers and managers. Manage workload effectively and ensure smooth project delivery across multiple sites within a defined area.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating and Electrotechnical Installation or Maintenance
• Experience maintaining gas equipment/pipe work and hot and cold water systems
• Knowledge of 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• Experience completing job certificates in an electronic format
• Full UK Driving Licence (van provided for travel)
• Demonstrable experience liaising with customers
• Experience working alone or as part of a team
• Good level of PC literacy

Benefits

• Annual salary: £39,148.30
• Standby allowance: £290 per week (when on rota)
• Ongoing working hours: 08:00 – 16:00, Monday‑Friday (flexibility required)
• Annual leave: 22.5 days (increases to 25 days after 5 years of service) plus bank holidays
• Full‑time permanent contract (37.5 hours per week, excluding meal breaks)
• Covering postcodes: LS (Leeds), HD (Huddersfield), HX (Halifax), HG (Harrogate), YO (York), WF (Wakefield)
• Out‑of‑hours call‑out rota: 1 in 6 weeks covering a wider area
