This role is for a team playing senior electrical design engineer, you will join the MEP team of an established SME design consultancy (a team of circa 60) working on a wide variety of challenging and interesting projects. Generally, project types include mixed use, commercial, luxury residential and hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Detailed design drawings with a specialisation in electrical system design.
• Preparing specifications and schedules and design development reports.
• Taking projects through from inception to completion and handover.
• Undertaking survey work.
• Production of feasibility reports.
• Attend site progress meetings and review installations.
• Supporting junior staff.
• Maintaining good client relationships.
• Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in‑house and external project teams.

Experience Required

• Preferably a bachelor’s or master’s degree in building services or electrical engineering.
• Solid electrical design experience in the building services sector.
• Chartered or working towards chartership would be advantageous although not essential.
• Great interpersonal skills, a team player and a genuine interest in helping others.
