Our onboarding process starts with a friendly conversation. All our engineers are required to have their own insurance and to have their equipment calibrated at least once a year. In return, along with our engineer handbook, contract for services and branded clothing, we supply labels and technical support.
JR PAT Testing is an expanding PAT and Compliance company looking for engineers to join our team in Mayfair. We offer self‑employed positions with flexible hours, allowing interested individuals to work part‑time or full‑time. The role involves performing portable appliance testing (PAT) on a variety of sites, from hospitals to retail outlets. Tasks include testing appliances, recording results, informing users, and completing necessary paperwork.
A typical day starts by packing necessary tools and equipment into a van, then traveling to the first job. On site, the engineer tests appliances such as microwaves, kettles and computers, checks safety compliance, informs users of results, and records findings in a dedicated report or electronic system. Additional paperwork such as completion certificates and checklists may also be required. The role requires organisation, accuracy and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
