Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and installation, after-care service and maintenance of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including service and maintenance of equipment such as cold rooms, ice machines, VRV/VRF indoor and outdoor units, heat recovery units, leak testing systems, etc.
- Maintenance, repairs and general Air Conditioning duties, including assisting with mechanical and plumbing works on site as required.
- Experience in Air Source Heat Pumps is desirable; additional training can be provided.
- Health and safety awareness.
- Assist with electrical PPM tasks including emergency lighting tests and small repairs (desirable).
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience of all air conditioning and electrical plant including, but not limited to Air Handling Units and their controls, pumps, heat exchangers, boiler plant (excluding gas side pipe work and accessories).
- Knowledge and experience of BMS control systems.
- Knowledge and experience of all air conditioning and HVAC installations, including issuing written compliance paperwork.
- Maintain on-site log books, permits and site paperwork ensuring they are completed and up to date.
- Competent in working on CAFM systems and using tablets for logging jobs and completing compliance paperwork.
- Ability to work as part of a mobile team; flexible, team-oriented and client-focused.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
- City & Guilds Level 2 (minimum); City & Guilds Level 3 in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning (preferred); F-Gas Certificate (C&G 2079 or CITB J11).
- 18th Edition Accreditation (preferred).
