Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer

Location: Walthamstow, Greater London

Salary: £62,401 per annum

Hours: 42 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – rotating days and nights

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Multi‑Skilled Shift Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our bakery. This is a hands‑on position requiring strong problem‑solving skills, flexibility, and a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

• Diagnose and repair automation, electrical, and mechanical faults during breakdowns
• Deliver proactive and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
• Support and implement the site engineering strategy
• Lead and deliver continuous improvement projects on time and within budget
• Contribute to improved site performance through KPIs such as OEE and CCOs
• Maintain and promote high standards of health and safety
• Provide training, coaching, and technical support to operators and fellow engineers
• Support wider site activities as required to ensure operational success

Qualifications

• Time‑served multi‑skilled apprentice, supported by relevant experience
• C&G 2346‑03 Electro‑technical Experienced Worker qualification
• Desirable: HNC in Electrical, Automation, or Multi‑Skilled Engineering
