You’ll lead HV/LV system design, grid applications, SLDs, protection studies, G99/G100 Compliance, and DNO engagement from concept through energisation. Ideal for an Electrical Engineer who wants full lifecycle ownership and real influence on project architecture.
If you enjoy shaping system architecture, running grid studies, specifying primary plant, and being involved right through FAT/SAT and commissioning, this may well be for you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing HV & LV systems for generation assets (200 kW to 60 MW)
- Developing and reviewing SLDs, system architecture, and protection philosophies
- Managing grid connection applications, G99/G100 compliance, and DNO submissions
- Running load flow, fault level, protection coordination, and power quality studies
- Specifying transformers, switchgear, inverters, protection systems, metering
- Supporting FAT/SAT, commissioning, energisation, and technical procurement
- Ensuring compliance with BS, IEC, ENA and site‑specific standards
What you’ll need:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
- Strong experience designing HV/LV systems in power generation
- Solar PV experience preferred, but generation/grid experience works
- Hands‑on experience with G99/G100, DNO engagement, and grid code
- Ability to produce and review SLDs, protection philosophies, system architecture
- Experience with grid modelling tools (ETAP or similar)
