Project & Design Engineer
An established and growing engineering business, part of a larger international group, specialising in high-performance products for harsh and demanding environments.
The Role
A hands‑on position offering full product lifecycle involvement from concept through to production, working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new products from concept to manufacture
- Produce and modify 3D CAD models and 2D drawings
- Design components and tooling
- Support prototype development, testing and validation
- Maintain and update engineering documentation
- Ensure compliance with standards and specifications
- Assist with inspection and testing of components
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
- Approximately 3+ years in a design engineering role
- Experience delivering products through the full lifecycle
- Proficient in CAD (ideally SolidWorks)
- Experience with prototyping and testing
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
Desirable
- Basic coding knowledge
- Experience with ERP or engineering systems
