Refrigeration Engineer
Location: North Wales
Salary: £46,791.53 (including standby 1:4)
My client is looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join their team and work on leading supermarket contracts.
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hour week
Leave: 25 days + 8 bank holidays
Travel allowance: Travel time after ½ hour each way
Pension: 5% matched
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM and reactive refrigeration maintenance across several sites.
- Service and repair CO2 refrigeration pack equipment.
- Identify non‑repairable faults, advise the Refrigeration Manager, and recommend replacements.
- Perform minor alterations and installations within technical competence, following current specifications.
Qualifications & Experience
- SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration or equivalent qualification.
- City and Guilds 2079‑1 FGas Category 1 certification.
- Experience using supermarket refrigeration systems.
- Flexible to participate in 24/7 on‑call rota (1:4 weeks).
- Full driving licence.
- Experience using a PDA system.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Previous PPM and reactive maintenance in a similar retail environment.
