Qualifications
- Proven experience working as an Asbestos Lab Analyst
- Competent in working in accordance with UKAS and HSG guidelines
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Highly proficient in using IT software (e.g., Microsoft applications)
- Minimum BOHS P401 ticket required; we also accept P402, P403, P404 or S301 CCP
- Able to prioritise own workload and meet set targets
Responsibilities
- Analysing ACM samples through stereo‑microscopy and PLM methods
- Confirming presence and type of asbestos fibres within samples
- Receiving samples from site, logging and storing them correctly
- Updating internal databases with results
- Issuing analytical certificates to clients
- Working to set company and personal targets
- Maintaining lab equipment
- Carrying out quality assurance checks and audits
- Supporting the company in maintaining UKAS accreditation
