Responsibilities
Working as part of a team, you'll be providing a high level of technical support to Engineering and Operations, ensuring specific planned maintenance requirements are met, and reactive maintenance activities are supported, providing technical feedback for all engineering related activities.
- Working with Maintenance Planners, Line Engineering Lead and Manufacturing Technicians to ensure all planned maintenance is completed
- Providing additional reactive support to Shift Technicians and Operations teams, when required
- Monitoring Specialist to support completion of preventative work orders and in depth analysis countermeasures
- Supporting Specialist teams delivering action completion and continuous improvement support
- Providing support to ensure maintenance plans, task instructions and stores holdings are correct
- Leading and supporting improvements through CI initiatives and preventative actions including health & safety actions
- Driving and owning root cause analysis completion
- Creating Visual Management for Planned Maintenance tasks
- Acting as an ambassador for engineering standards and best practice across site
The role will involve working a 42.5 hour day shift with 3 x 12 hour day shifts and an additional 6 hour shift on alternate Wednesdays or Fridays. The role includes weekends and bank holidays.
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar Engineering role with either an electrical or mechanical bias or a multi-skilled role with a large FMCG or other manufacturing company background
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering apprenticeship with hands‑on experience is essential
- Recognised mechanical academic qualification
- Strong electro‑mechanical knowledge
- Familiarity with CMMS and SCADA systems
- Solid understanding of equipment and technical standards
- A sense of ownership for safety, quality, and performance
- Problem‑solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Due to the location of the site, you will need your own transport
