Duties as Geography Teacher
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Teach a broad and balanced Geography curriculum in line with national expectations
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet a range of abilities
- Maintain clear classroom routines and manage behaviour effectively
- Work collaboratively with the humanities department and wider staff team
- Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental development
- Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal Geography Teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Geography at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography education
- Confident classroom management and clear communication skillsAbility to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities
- Willingness to commit to a temporary role with the potential to become permanent
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
