An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the RTT Validation Team. This role is pivotal in tracking patients through the 18‑week Referral to Treatment (RTT) pathway, ensuring timely access to diagnostics and care.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track patients' progress through the 18‑week Referral to Treatment pathway, ensuring timely diagnosis and intervention.
- Use multiple IT platforms to track and validate RTT data and perform accurate data entry.
- Liaise with departments to expedite appointments and resolve pathway issues.
- Identify and correct RTT clock issues, reporting updates and concerns to service leads.
- Collect and provide data in accordance with local reporting requirements and support national audit data collection.
- Oversee patient tracking processes to support timely diagnostics and treatment.

Qualifications
- Educated to GCSE level with at least 5 at Grade C or above
- AMSPAR medical terminology Level 2 or equivalent (Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Managers, Administrators and Receptionists)
- ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic knowledge and understanding of 18‑week RTT (referral to treatment) principles and implementation in an operational environment
- Basic understanding of all NHS access and performance targets
- Basic knowledge of NHS related legislation and codes of practice i.e data protection, confidentiality and freedom of information
- 18‑week RTT training (referral to treatment)
Experience
- Experience of working within the NHS or similar organisation within an administrative, operational environment
- Experience of working to tight deadlines
- Previous experience working in a similar role
- Previous experience in the use of a Patient Administrative System or other relevant healthcare information systems
- Experience in the use of all programmes within the Microsoft Office suite
- Previous experience in implementing 18‑week RTT policy in a similar administrative role

£25,760 to £27,476 a year pro rata (subject to job matching).
