Job Overview

Scope of Works

The role involves site operations along the M4/A4 corridor around Brentford, primarily during daytime hours under static traffic management. Responsibilities include installing temporary works scaffolding to viaduct piers, performing saw cutting, hydro‑demolition of concrete, and carrying out required repair works and concrete repairs to reinstate affected areas of the structure.

Main Duties

  • Management of site staff, operatives and sub‑contractors.
  • Provide method statements, hazard risk assessments and Project Management plans.
  • Understand tender allowances and monitor contract loss against agreed budgets.
  • Prepare and monitor programmes of work.
  • Foster good relations with clients.
  • Coordinate design work.
  • Assess and engage sub‑contractors.
  • Manage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion.
  • Supervise, mentor and assist in the career development of junior staff.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have strong programme and contract management experience, particularly with NEC contracts, and hold a CSCS Gold Card, SMSTS certification and Temporary Works Coordinator qualification. A degree and Incorporated membership with the ICE would be advantageous.

Role Requirements

  • Solid technical capability, including NEC contract knowledge.
  • Experience with Microsoft programmes and applications.
  • Understanding of temporary works coordination.
  • Strong people skills: building effective teams, clear communication, active listening, collaboration, conflict resolution, persuasion, influencing ability, reliability and professionalism.
