We are seeking an experienced adult social care lawyer to join one of our very good local authority clients to cover maternity leave.
The role would commence in mid-June/early July and would be for 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a complex caseload of Adult Social Care matters, including:
- Court of Protection proceedings
- Deprivation of Liberty (DoLS) matters
- Nearest Relative issues
- Judicial Review cases
- Providing high-quality, timely legal advice to internal stakeholders
- Represent the Local Authority in court and at hearings where required
Role Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with a current practising certificate
- Demonstrable experience in Adult Social Care law, ideally within a Local Authority setting
- Strong working knowledge of Court of Protection and related legislation
- Excellent communication, organisation, and case management skills
