ROLE: Quantity Surveyor

HOURS: 40 Hours Per Week

LOCATION: Chesterfield (Hybrid)

We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor who will support the Custom Solar commercial department and contribute to the Power & Grid business unit as part of one of the UK's leading specialist Solar PV developers.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Collate monthly cost data to support the Commercial Manager with the production of CVRs.
  • Manage budget control and forecasting for allocated projects, providing monthly updates.
  • Ensure correct contract administration of allocated projects in line with contract requirements.
  • Oversee cash management and cash flow production.
  • Prepare forecasting documentation.
  • Manage subcontractor accounts, including measurement of works, variations, liability trackers, payment notices, and final accounts.
  • Attend progress meetings and contribute to weekly commercial meetings.
  • Conduct site visits and support client meetings alongside the Commercial Manager.
  • Mentor junior staff and ensure work is carried out in line with internal processes and governance.


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2:2 degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
  • 3+ years' experience working at Quantity Surveyor level.
  • Excellent understanding of Contract Law, with NEC suite experience preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial awareness.
  • Willingness to undertake site visits.
  • Full UK driving licence.
