Mid - Senior Architectural Interior Designer – (Hospitality & Residential)

Location: Shoreditch, London

Position: Full-Time, Studio-Based (no hybrid or remote)

Peter Mikic Studio is currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Interior Designer to join our Shoreditch studio.

Our portfolio spans high-end international environments including residences, restaurants, hotels, branded residences, and retail spaces. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to prestigious global projects while working within a highly creative and collaborative studio environment.

We are looking for a proactive and organised designer with both a strong creative eye and technical precision. You will be comfortable managing responsibilities independently while collaborating closely with the wider design team, bringing a calm, solutions-focused mindset and excellent communication skills.

The Role

As a Mid - Senior Architectural Interior Designer, you will lead the development and delivery of projects from concept through to completion. Working closely with the Director, you will ensure that all technical design packages are executed to the highest standards and align with the studio’s creative vision.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead projects from concept to completion.
• Concept development to tender pack support.
• Assist with design documentation including presentations.
• Produce technical packages including plans, elevations, details and schedules.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and suppliers.
• Conduct site visits when required to do so to ensure design integrity and quality of execution.
• Assist in managing junior designers, reviewing their work, and providing guidance. 

Key Skills & Experience

• Minimum 6 - 8 years of interior design experience preferably in the hospitality sector.
• Strong technical knowledge with construction/ tender pack experience.
• Strong AutoCAD skills with proficiency in spec designer, InDesign and Photoshop a plus.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• An understanding of building regulations and construction methods.
• A creative yet practical mindset, with excellent problem-solving skills.
