About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced MHE Instructor to join our team on a field-based basis. This role involves delivering high-quality, compliant training across multiple client sites within Milton Keynes, Bedford, and Northampton. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring operators are trained to the highest safety and operational standards in line with RTITB guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accredited RTITB training for a range of MHE equipment, including:
- Reach Trucks
- Counterbalance Forklifts
- Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT)
- Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) Trucks
- Conduct novice, refresher, conversion, and assessment training courses.
- Ensure all training is delivered in compliance with RTITB standards and relevant health & safety legislation.
- Assess operator competency and provide constructive feedback and guidance.
- Maintain accurate training records, reports, and certification documentation.
- Travel to various client sites across the assigned regions, managing time and schedules effectively.
- Promote a strong safety culture and best practices in all training sessions.
- Liaise with clients professionally to understand their training needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Requirements
- Valid and in-date Instructor accreditation (preferably RTITB but not essential)
- Proven experience delivering training on Reach, Counterbalance, PPT, and VNA equipment.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations relating to MHE operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a field-based schedule.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Milton Keynes, Bedford, and Northampton.
- Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with a variety of warehouse environments.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
