About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced MHE Instructor to join our team on a field-based basis. This role involves delivering high-quality, compliant training across multiple client sites within Milton Keynes, Bedford, and Northampton. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring operators are trained to the highest safety and operational standards in line with RTITB guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accredited RTITB training for a range of MHE equipment, including:
  • Reach Trucks
  • Counterbalance Forklifts
  • Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT)
  • Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) Trucks
  • Conduct novice, refresher, conversion, and assessment training courses.
  • Ensure all training is delivered in compliance with RTITB standards and relevant health & safety legislation.
  • Assess operator competency and provide constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Maintain accurate training records, reports, and certification documentation.
  • Travel to various client sites across the assigned regions, managing time and schedules effectively.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and best practices in all training sessions.
  • Liaise with clients professionally to understand their training needs and deliver tailored solutions.

Requirements

  • Valid and in-date Instructor accreditation (preferably RTITB but not essential)
  • Proven experience delivering training on Reach, Counterbalance, PPT, and VNA equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations relating to MHE operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a field-based schedule.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Milton Keynes, Bedford, and Northampton.
  • Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with a variety of warehouse environments.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
