Planning Manager – Major Healthcare Infrastructure Programme

Peterborough / Hybrid

£115k + package + bonus


We’re supporting a leading Tier 1 contractor in the search for an experienced Planning Manager to join a major healthcare infrastructure programme in the East of England.


This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a large-scale capital works framework focused on the development and modernisation of hospital and healthcare facilities under a long-term national programme.


The Role

As Planning Manager, you’ll lead project planning and controls activities across complex construction schemes, ensuring robust programme management from pre-construction through delivery.


Key responsibilities include:

- Leading and managing project/programme planning strategy across multiple healthcare projects

- Developing, maintaining and challenging integrated master programmes

- Supporting bid, pre-construction and live delivery teams with planning expertise

- Driving programme assurance, progress reporting and risk analysis

- Working closely with operational, commercial and client stakeholders to ensure delivery milestones are achieved

- Mentoring and developing planners within the wider project team


About You

We’re looking for candidates with:

- Proven experience in a senior planning role within major construction or infrastructure projects

- Strong background working for a main contractor or large infrastructure organisation

- Experience on healthcare, public sector, or highly regulated environments preferred

- Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 and programme controls best practice

- Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability
