Project Engineer

We’re hiring a hands‑on Project Engineer to take ownership of mechanical engineering projects from design through to installation and commissioning. This role suits a practical, commercially aware engineer who enjoys being on site, solving problems, and seeing projects delivered end to end.

You’ll manage multiple projects simultaneously (typically ~15), with values from £3k to £1m, working on bespoke mechanical handling systems in fast‑paced industrial environments.

What you’ll do

• Deliver engineering projects from concept to commissioning
• Attend customer sites to oversee installation and resolve issues
• Review designs and provide practical feedback to the Design team
• Use CAD to produce or amend basic layouts
• Coordinate suppliers, internal teams, and customers

What we’re looking for

• Ideally 5 years’ + experience as a Project Engineer
• Strong mechanical systems knowledge (handling, conveyors, automation)
• Confident working on site and during commissioning
• Practical problem‑solver with sound commercial judgement
