Building Fabric Maintainer Heysham 2 Power Station
The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a
Building Fabric Maintainer to support ongoing works at Heysham 2 Power Station. This is a hands-on role maintaining and repairing the general building fabric across site, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.
£18.51 per hour (excluding holiday pay)
Full-time | 6 Month initial Contract working Monday–Friday
Start: ASAP (Subject to obtaining CTC Clearance)
Key Responsibilities- Carry out general building fabric maintenance and repairs
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
- Basic carpentry, plumbing, painting & decorating tasks
- Repairing doors, flooring, walls, ceilings and fixtures
- Conduct routine inspections and report defects
- Ensure all works are completed in line with site safety standards and procedures
Requirements- Previous experience in a fabric maintenance / handyman / multi-skilled role
- Strong all-round building maintenance skills (carpentry, plumbing, decorating etc.)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to obtain CTC Clearance (essential). NRL will sponsor the successful individual for clearance. You will be required to obtain and pay for a DBS check as part of this process.
- Must live within commuting distance of Heysham
- NVQ L3 Qualification in related discipline
