Application Engineer – Sheffield

An Applications Engineer is required to join a growing deep‑tech company developing advanced sensing technologies. The Applications Engineer will work at the interface between product development, customer integration and system‑level validation. This Applications Engineer role combines hands‑on electronics with customer‑facing technical support in a highly technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Support customers with hardware bring‑up, integration and troubleshooting
• Work with internal engineering teams to validate and characterise devices and systems
• Develop test setups, evaluation boards and application demonstrators
• Assist with PCB‑level debugging, measurements and performance analysis
• Provide technical input into application notes, documentation and customer reports
• Support product qualification and feedback into ongoing development

Requirements

• Background in electronics engineering, semiconductor devices or applied physics
• Hands‑on experience with lab equipment and hardware testing
• Ability xwzovoh to work across hardware, firmware and system‑level boundaries
• Comfortable communicating technical information to customers and partners
• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics or a related discipline
