A top‑tier main contractor is seeking an accomplished Project Director to take full leadership of a landmark cut and carve redevelopment in central London. This scheme involves extensive structural alterations, heavy temporary works, complex logistics and a highly constrained urban environment. It demands a senior leader with the capability to drive delivery, manage risk and maintain exceptional client confidence throughout the programme.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall strategic leadership and direction for the project from pre‑construction through to handover
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including project management, engineering, commercial and design functions
- Oversee programme, budget, risk management and quality assurance at the highest level
- Maintain strong governance, reporting and compliance with internal and client requirements
- Build and sustain excellent relationships with the client, consultants, stakeholders and supply chain
- Ensure robust planning and sequencing for a live, constrained central London site
- Champion a culture of safety, collaboration and high performance
- Drive commercial outcomes, contract compliance and change management
- Represent the contractor at senior meetings, progress reviews and executive forums
About You
- Proven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager delivering major, complex building projects for a main contractor
- Strong background in structural reconfiguration, refurbishment or cut‑and‑carve schemes
- Deep understanding of programme management, risk, commercial control and technical delivery
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and senior‑level reporting
- Ideally degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field
