Role Overview
We are hiring a Software Engineer III with OpenXR expertise to build cross-platform XR experiences. The role combines deep graphics and runtime engineering with XR-specific expertise — shipping experiences that work across headsets and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
– Build and maintain XR applications using OpenXR and adjacent SDKs
– Implement rendering, input, and runtime integration for headsets
– Optimise performance, frame timing, and latency for XR workloads
– Build cross-platform abstractions across Quest, Vision, SteamVR, and others
– Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions
– Partner with design and product on XR interaction patterns
Required Skills and Qualifications
– 4+ years building production software, including XR or graphics work
– Strong proficiency in C++ and modern graphics APIs (Vulkan, DirectX, OpenGL)
– Hands-on experience with OpenXR or comparable XR runtimes
– Familiarity with Unity or Unreal Engine is a plus
– Experience with shaders, rendering pipelines, and performance optimisation
– Solid software engineering fundamentals
