Job Title: Costs Draftsman
Location: Blackburn (Office-Based/Hybrid – depending on firm requirements)
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (DOE & interview performance)
Key Responsibilities as a Costs Draftsman:
- Drafting comprehensive Bills of Costs across a range of matters, including both fast-track and multi-track cases
- Preparing Points of Dispute and Replies in line with procedural requirements
- Assisting with the preparation of costs budgets (Precedent H) when required
- Attending detailed assessment hearings where necessary
- Providing guidance and strategic advice to fee earners on costs recovery
- Ensuring all work complies with the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and relevant costs legislation
- Managing your own caseload efficiently, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
