Velocity Composites plc is a differentiated, AIM‑listed business operating at the forefront of advanced composite manufacturing, supporting global aerospace, automotive and renewable energy customers.

With revenues of £20.7m and strong EBITDA growth, the business is entering a critical phase of international expansion and value creation, with established operations in the UK and US and clear ambitions for further growth across Europe.

This is not a traditional CFO appointment.

This is a strategic leadership role at the heart of the business, partnering closely with the CEO and Board to shape direction, drive performance and support long‑term, sustainable growth.

As CFO, you will play a pivotal role in guiding Velocity through its next chapter.

You will:

• Act as a trusted adviser to the CEO and Board, influencing strategic direction and decision making
• Lead the financial strategy, planning and performance agenda, ensuring delivery of ambitious growth targets
• Provide commercial insight across operations, translating financial data into meaningful action
• Take ownership of investor relationships, market communication and AIM governance
• Drive international expansion, supporting growth in the US and Europe
• Build and lead a high‑performing, forward‑looking finance function

This is a role with real breadth and visibility, combining strategic, operational and market‑facing responsibilities.

We are looking for a commercially astute and credible finance leader who brings:

• Proven experience as a CFO or Finance Director within a complex, ideally manufacturing or engineering‑led environment
• Experience operating at Board level within an AIM or listed business
• Strong track record of driving financial performance, cash management and strategic planning
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on, leading a lean, high‑impact team
• Confidence managing external stakeholders including investors, advisors and banks
• A collaborative, engaging leadership style with the presence to influence across the organisation
