A rare opportunity has become available for an experienced and dedicated leader to join our well-established community preschool, proudly serving our thriving rural community since 1989. For the past 13 years, we have operated from our purpose-built centre, offering high-quality education and care in a safe, stimulating, play-based environment for up to 60 tamariki.
This role offers the chance to lead a passionate team where collaboration is valued and a strong sense of belonging is nurtured for both tamariki and kaiako. You will bring confidence in compliance oversight, alongside the ability to provide clear strategic direction, working closely with a large team and our Board of Trustees.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and support a team to deliver high-quality education and care
- Ensure compliance with ECE regulations and best practice
- Support team development and oversee daily operations
- Contribute to strategic planning alongside the Board of Trustees
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
- Build strong relationships with tamariki, whānau, and the community
- Provide calm, empathetic leadership and mentor others
About you
- Hold a relevant ECE qualification and/or equivalent experience
- Demonstrate proven leadership capability
- Have strong communication and relationship skills
- Bring a genuine passion for early childhood education
