You’ll Work With
- Cross‑functional teams spanning:
- Web Engineering (React / TypeScript)
- Data Engineering (distributed systems, Spark‑based platforms)
- Data Science & Machine Learning
- A highly technical CTO who is deeply invested in AI adoption and modern engineering
- Product leadership following significant recent evolution and change
- A remote, growing engineering organisation with a collaborative, informal working style
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and overseeing Web, Data and Data Science teams (around 30 people total)
- Managing 5-6 direct reports, with a strong focus on soft‑skills leadership
- Providing clarity, structure and knowledge flow across teams as the organisation scales
- Owning engineering execution while partnering closely with Product and the CTO
- Ensuring AI‑assisted development practices are effective, scalable and sustainable
- Building a strong, connected remote culture that supports collaboration and momentum
This is not a hands‑on coding role, but genuine enthusiasm for technology, AI and modern engineering practices is essential.

Key Experience Required
- Experience working across all three areas below (depth can vary, exposure is essential):
- A Web Engineering team
- A Data Engineering team using distributed technologies (e.g. Spark)
- A Data Science team working with Machine Learning
In addition, you’ll bring
- Experience leading multi‑disciplinary engineering organisations
- Strong people leadership and soft‑skills capabilityConfidence managing remote teams and building connection at scale
