Our client is looking for an experienced senior manager to join them as Operations Director.
This is a key role within the company and the salary will reflect this.
Main Purpose of the Job
- To direct and manage the production operation so that customer needs are met creatively, effectively and efficiently.
- To maintain confidence about delivery reliability and quality amongst the customer service, finance and sales teams. Key account management has been introduced to ensure high levels of customer retention.
- To drive business efficiency and improvement through playing a leading role on the operational management team.
- To realise the potential within the production operation.
- To drive improvement of operating margins continuously.
- To ensure that the organisation meets health and safety, quality and environmental legal requirements.
Principal Accountabilities
- To lead and direct production operations so that customer requirements are met reliably and consistently.
- To introduce world class manufacturing standards to improve competitiveness and to measure improvement against key performance indicators.
- To increase profit margins through the management of quality standards, health and safety requirements and environmental protection in production.
