Responsibilities

  • Ensure all orders received into the Customer Service Department are dealt with promptly in line with agreed department targets and timescales.
  • Work to tight deadlines with excellent communication skills.
  • Take ownership of own daily tasks, making sure all orders and queries are cleared and resolved wherever possible at the end of each day.
  • Build effective relationships with customers to enhance service and exceed customer expectations.
  • Identify potential service issues, proactively contacting the customer to clarify and resolve the problem, offering alternative products or service levels when appropriate.
  • Book in deliveries and provide both written and verbal quotations.
  • Manage daily reports.
  • Use automated information systems to analyse the customer’s requirements.

Personal Attributes

  • A genuine interest in working with and helping internal and external customers.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with other team members.
  • Work accurately and with an eye for detail.
