The ideal candidate will have come up the shop‑floor route rather than office‑based production, be commercially minded, and have a good understanding or, better still, a qualification in lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage the performance and conduct of all shop‑floor employees, meeting and improving on production targets.
  • Motivate the team to drive production, quality and output.
  • Challenge poor performance, reduce work in progress, customer rejections and waste.
  • Implement ways of improving productivity, quality and efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a sheet‑fed litho background.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast‑turnaround, high‑pace environment.
  • Commercial mindset and knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
