Group Financial Controller

Finatal is working with a PE-backed renewable energy, growth‑business in central London. Our client is looking for a technically solid individual who is ready for a step up in their career. Reporting into the HoF, with the opportunity to be hands‑on and make a difference, this a real opportunity for growth, development and exposure.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical side of the group, with accurate management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, providing clear insight to senior leadership and supporting business growth.
• Lead month‑end close, statutory accounts, audit, and tax compliance, ensuring robust controls and high‑quality financial reporting.
• Maintain strong balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, accruals, working capital management, and financial controls.
• Deliver cashflow forecasting, runway modelling, and scenario analysis to support strategic planning and decision‑making.
• Manage and review the work of two direct reports.

Requirements

• Ideally ACA Qualified, or equivalent.
• 3‑4 years’ minimum hands‑on, post‑ qualification, industry experience within a PE‑backed portfolio company – bonus if energy‑related.
• Previous Private Equity exposure.
• Confidence to hit the ground running and make an impact.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced setting with strong ownership.
