Overview
A Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for protecting an organisation's cloud-based systems and data from cyber threats. This role involves designing secure cloud architecture, implementing security controls, monitoring for vulnerabilities, and responding to incidents. Cloud Security Engineers often work with platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
They must stay up-to-date with the latest security regulations and best practices, ensuring that cloud environments meet industry standards and compliance requirements. Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of encryption, identity and access management, and compliance.
- Experience implementing security controls and incident response.
- Relevant university degree or equivalent experience in computer science, cybersecurity, or information technology.
- Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, CCSP, or AWS Certified Security Specialty are highly respected.
Salary
