Position Overview
Sellick Partnership is recruiting a Housing Litigation Lawyer, Solicitor, or Barrister to join a well-regarded legal services team in a South London Council.
Responsibilities
- Advise client officers and conduct litigation on behalf of the council.
- Handle a wide range of housing and litigation matters at all levels of court and tribunals, including housing possessions, anti‑social behaviour injunctions, housing disrepair, and homelessness.
- Draft documentation and provide advocacy, ideally with experience of working for a local authority or social landlord.
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with experience in public sector housing litigation.
- Experience handling a complex caseload of housing matters.
- Local Authority experience is highly desirable.
Benefits & Conditions
- Office presence once a week in South London; occasional attendance at Court hearings.
- Locum initially for 3 months, with potential extension to 6–9 months and rolling contract.
