We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring, committed and well qualified Head of Maths to lead a well‑established department and contribute to its excellent results at all levels.
This is a Permanent, Full time role starting in September 2026.
As Head of Mathematics you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management and teaching of Mathematics at Rookwood School, for pupils in Year 5 through to Year 11.
Nestled on a leafy site in Andover, Rookwood School is a happy and thriving learning environment for pupils aged 6 months to 16 years. Rookwood’s Maths department is a hive of specialist mathematicians, with one main aim – to instil an enjoyment of Maths into all Rookwood students. Maths is a popular subject throughout the school. Students follow a varied curriculum. At GCSE pupils follow the Edexcel International GCSE Specification A at either Higher or Foundation. Pupils also enjoy participation in national competitions such as the UKMT Junior and Intermediate Maths challenges and the UKMT Team Maths Challenge at Oxford University.
