About the Role
This is a key role providing high-level administrative and organisational support to the SAB Independent Chair and the Head of Adult Safeguarding. You will play a vital part in ensuring safeguarding processes run smoothly, helping to improve outcomes for vulnerable adults.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a central point of contact for enquiries, ensuring timely and appropriate responses
- Organise and support a wide range of meetings, including safeguarding reviews and multi-agency forums
- Produce high-quality reports, minutes, presentations, and correspondence
- Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and office resources
- Handle and analyse confidential and sensitive data
- Support safeguarding reviews, governance processes, and partnership work
- Monitor budgets and assist with financial administration
- Lead on specific projects and deputise for the Business Coordinator when required
About You
You will be:
- Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills
- Experienced in administration, including arranging meetings and minute taking
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, adaptable, and calm under pressure
- Skilled in handling confidential information with discretion
- A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards it
- Proven experience in an administrative role managing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable
- Experience in a local government or safeguarding environment
- Knowledge of Adult Safeguarding, the Care Act 2014, and GDPR
