IT Support Engineer – Exeter, Devon
We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a well‑established Managed Service Provider. The role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting problems, and participating in project work with customer site visits.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers and end-users, via both onsite and remote support
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Provide training and technical advice to customers and end-users
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Monitor system performance and ensure system security
- Participate in the implementation of new systems and technologies
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
Requirements
- Experience within an MSP environment is a plus
- Technical knowledge of Windows Server, networking, and virtualization technologies such as Hyper‑V or VMware
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and other cloud technologies
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
