VIGO is recruiting on behalf of an engineering and technology organisation near Portsmouth to bring in a Data & Reporting Assistant. The position supports internal reporting, dashboards, and operational analysis, providing an entry point into a data‑focused career.
Role Overview
As a Data & Reporting Assistant, you will compile, organise and present operational data in a clear and structured manner. You’ll work closely with the internal team to assist with reporting, dashboards and data analysis that help the organisation understand performance and support decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and maintain internal reports using Excel or similar spreadsheet tools
- Assist in producing presentations and reporting materials using PowerPoint
- Organise and structure operational data from multiple internal sources
- Support the development of dashboards and reporting summaries
- Assist teams with reporting requests and basic analysis
- Communicate with colleagues and stakeholders to gather relevant information where required
The Ideal Candidate
- Based in or near Portsmouth
- Strong numerical and analytical ability
- Comfortable using Excel or similar spreadsheet software
- Confident working with PowerPoint or presentation tools
- Experience reading, compiling or interpreting basic reports or data
- Comfortable dealing with people and gathering information from colleagues or stakeholders
- Organised, detail‑oriented and eager to learn
Nice to Have
- Python

- Power BI
- Experience building or working with dashboards
