The Role

As part of a greenfield implementation/rollout/enhancement and steady state on SAP with RISE, new applications are being provisioned and configured to support new SAP standard retail functionality. The technical setup and configuration of these newly provisioned systems need to be completed in order to enable the functional build to be deployed to support SIT, UAT, Performance testing prior/post to go‑live.

Responsibilities

A SAP Master Data Solution Architect is a senior‑level role responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the overall architecture of an organisation’s SAP Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. This involves ensuring data integrity, quality, and compliance while aligning the data strategy with broader business.

Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Proven experience as an SAP Master Data Solution Architect.
  • Extensive SAP expertise: in‑depth knowledge of core SAP systems, including SAP ERP, SAP ECC, and especially SAP S/4HANA and its migration processes.
  • Master Data Management (MDM) & Governance: proven experience in designing and implementing MDM solutions, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulations (like GDPR).
  • Data modeling and architecture: proficiency in creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models, and designing the overall data infrastructure.
  • Business process understanding: a strong grasp of end‑to‑end business processes (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, Procurement) and how master data interacts with these functions.
  • Integration technologies: expertise in seamlessly integrating SAP MDM with various internal and external systems using tools such as SAP PIPO, SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), or third‑party middleware.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills: capability to analyze complex business problems and technical issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and devise effective, pragmatic solutions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in relation to SAP systems.
  • Experience in end‑to‑end SAP implementation projects (greenfield or brownfield).
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and methodologies for incident and change management.
  • Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate).
  • Familiarity with SAP integration technologies (SAP PI/PO, CPI, APIs).
  • Consulting experience: previous experience with a top consulting firm or in client‑facing roles is a plus.
