Are you passionate about making pets a priority? So are we!

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Care Assistant at The Grove Vets, Fakenham.

We are looking for someone who can join us on a part‑time basis, working 38 hours across 4 or 5 days a week, with a share in the 1 in 4 weekend rota. Our ideal candidate would have some animal care experience and be someone who is interested in pursuing a career in veterinary nursing.

At CVS, caring is what we do. As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you'll be at the heart of promoting pet wellness—preparing for surgeries, supporting patient recovery, and offering reassurance to the people who love them. Because for us, caring isn’t just a job—it’s in our nature.

We put our people first—because when you're supported, you can deliver the very best care. With industry‑leading learning, hands‑on training, and guidance, you'll have everything you need to grow your skills and confidence. Whether you're looking to progress in your current role or explore new career pathways, CVS is the place to nurture your future career.

About the role

The Veterinary Care Assistant role is one of the foundations of an outstanding veterinary practice, and as a VCA you will be involved in supporting our team of qualified RVNs and Vets to provide outstanding care to our patients.

The Grove Vets is a well‑established hospital‑level practice and orthopaedic referral centre, offering an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Care Assistant to develop their career in a busy, high‑standards clinical environment. Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a varied caseload where no two days are ever the same.

We foster a supportive, inclusive culture where every team member is encouraged to learn, contribute, and progress. Development and career aspirations are genuinely supported, with many colleagues having progressed into SVN and RVN roles.
