We are currently seeking a Multiskilled Fire and Security Engineer to join our expanding team in the West Midlands region. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, service, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and emergency lighting.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain fire and security systems, including fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control systems, emergency lighting, and associated equipment.
- Perform fault finding, repairs, and servicing on a range of fire and security systems.
- Provide high‑quality customer service, ensuring all work is completed to industry standards and in line with customer requirements.
- Carry out risk assessments and surveys to ensure system compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all installations and maintenance are compliant with relevant British Standards and industry regulations (e.g., BS 5839, BS 6266, NSI, BAFE).
- Complete accurate service reports, installation records, and certification as required.
- Participate in an out‑of‑hours on‑call rota, providing emergency support and repairs when necessary.
- Keep up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
- Attend training sessions as required to ensure continued professional development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a Fire and Security Engineer, with a strong background in the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and emergency lighting.
- Experience working with a wide range of fire and security systems, including both wired and wireless technologies.
- Solid understanding of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., BS 5839, BS 6266, NSI, BAFE).
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
- FIA (Fire Industry Association) qualifications, or equivalent, desirable.
- Relevant CSCS or ECS card.
- Full UK driving license.
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.
