Salary: £100,000-£120,000

Location: Nottingham (Hybrid - typically 3 days per week in office)

The Opportunity

This role underpins a wider programme to establish sustainable AI capability in the UK by building the data foundations that advanced AI systems depend on.

You will design and lead data platforms that support model training, evaluation, and operation at scale, balancing speed, governance, and reliability. The emphasis is on building platforms that last, not pipelines that only support prototypes.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design of AI‑ready data platforms and pipelines
• Enable high‑quality training data across diverse sources
• Set standards around data quality, lineage, and compliance
• Partner with AI and product leaders to support evolving AI requirements
• Build a data engineering capability aligned to long‑term AI strategy
