Job Overview

As a Software Developer at Artek UK, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and systems that meet business requirements. You will work closely with stakeholders, UX designers, and other developers to deliver robust solutions that enhance performance and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Work with internal teams to understand functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop web-based or desktop applications using modern frameworks and tools.
  • Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance testing.
  • Maintain documentation of code, processes, and user manuals.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers and back end teams.
  • Integrate APIs, databases, and third-party tools as required.
  • Ensure software quality, security, and compliance standards.
  • Continuously improve existing software based on feedback and analytics.

Required Skills

  • Experience with frameworks like React, Angular, Django, .NET, or Node.js.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, version control (e.g., Git), and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Good understanding of databases (SQL, MongoDB, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant software development experience (for junior/mid-level roles).
  • Additional certifications in software development or cloud computing (optional but preferred).

Working Conditions

  • Monday to Friday, standard business hours.
  • Hybrid working available depending on project and location.
  • Some travel to UK offices may be required occasionally.
