An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Risk Management Advisor to join NHS Forth Valley’s Corporate Risk Management function.

This new role will provide a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future development of Risk Management and Assurance across the organisation. You will work closely with Directorates and Departments to ensure the effective management, implementation, monitoring, and training of Risk Management across the NHS Forth Valley system. The post will act as the key point of contact for Risk Management and will provide support to managers and staff across NHS Forth Valley and Social Care Partnerships.

Reporting to the Head of Risk Management you will work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to embed professional, robust and consistent Risk Management systems and processes in line with the Board’s Risk Management Framework.

You must be able to evidence a proven track record in Risk Management along with specialist knowledge of Risk and Assurance; including a clear understanding of relevant legislation professional standards and knowledge of Risk Management systems in a health setting. You should be educated to Degree level or equivalent, preferably with a qualification in governance and risk.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
