Specialist Radiographer- Cardiac Catheterisation Lab

Job Overview

Motivated registered Diagnostic Radiographer with an interest in Angiography is required to work primarily in our two Philips Cardiac Cath Labs at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. Previous experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology department is an advantage but not essential, as training and support will be provided for those who demonstrate interest and a desire to develop their skills in this specialty. This is a full‑time, 37.5‑hour per week position with opportunities to rotate into Interventional Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of radiographic procedures on patients to a high imaging standard and provide excellent patient care.
• Ensure compliance with IRMER and IRR policies and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate workload and prioritise patients according to clinical need in association with other team members.
• Apply leadership and motivational skills, communicate effectively, and work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Radiographer.
• Hold a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or a Diploma in Clinical Radiography (DCR).
• Demonstrate a flexible approach to working within the department to meet the needs of the service.
