As from 1 April 2026 the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will also be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check. If the role is assessed as a regulated role, appointment will be subject to the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. Changes to current requirements will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team.
To work in the United Kingdom, applicants must have the relevant right to work in the country. NHS Scotland will check entitlement to work in the UK, including visa and Settled/Pre‑Settled status. Sponsorship may be possible for eligible candidates under the UK Skilled Worker or Health & Care Worker Visa scheme.
