Staff Nurse - Fletcher Inpatients

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at the Fletcher Inpatient Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our service users by delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, and for developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized programmes of care. You will also act as a designated named nurse for a number of patients, ensuring continuity and excellence in care delivery.
Main duties of the job
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in line with clinical standards.
- Provide named nurse responsibility for allocated patients.
- Offer leadership, supervision, and support to junior staff – both qualified and unqualified – during shifts.
- Ensure efficient and effective use of resources to maintain high standards of care.
- Contribute to teaching and supporting nursing and non-nursing staff.
- Deputise for the Clinical Team Leader and Unit Manager when required.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Professional Registration – NMC
- To act as an assessor for learners; having the mentoring qualification or being willing to work toward this qualification and attending mentorship updates as required.
- Experience of working with people with complex and challenging needs.
Skills and Aptitude
- Able to engage individuals with complex needs and/or their carers in the admission process.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written communication.
- Able to contribute to training offered to carers, family and other professionals and colleagues.
