Reporting

Reports to the Client’s Service Manager.

Role Function

The successful Engineer will be responsible for the installation, repair and servicing of the client’s presses at customer sites.

Travel

Extensive travel throughout the UK and potentially Northern Europe.

Qualifications & Experience

  • HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with process control electronics, PLCs, and diagnostics using various software applications.
  • Print industry background with a full understanding of how printing systems integrate (preferred).

Job Responsibilities

  • Electrical installation, repair, and servicing of presses at customer sites.
  • Install presses at customer sites in line with schedules and requirements, liaising with project engineers.
  • Respond to technical requests, diagnose issues, provide recommendations, and resolve queries promptly.
  • Carry out pre‑planned service interventions.
  • Use reference documentation and team assistance to overcome difficulties.
  • Accurately report on assignments with detailed actions and outstanding requirements.
  • Liaise with senior customer staff, ensuring scope of work is agreed before work begins.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships and represent the company professionally.
  • Promote the company’s proactive service products and training to customers; report potential leads to the Service Manager.
  • Work as a member of the service team, ensuring electrical work meets quality standards and internal procedures.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards and cooperate with company arrangements.
