Fire Door Engineer – M4 Corridor
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum (negotiable). Employment type: Full‑time permanent.
Location: M4 Corridor – requires travel to multiple sites.

Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, refurbish, and inspect fire‑rated doors ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of existing fire‑rated doors to identify required repairs or replacements.
- Install fire‑rated door hardware (locks, hinges, closers, panic devices) in line with safety and manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, including door clearances, smoke sealing, and fire ratings.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and inspections.
- Liaise regularly with the management team to provide updates and ensure smooth workflow.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, use PPE when required, and maintain a clean work area.
- Travel to multiple sites as required, delivering high‑quality workmanship.
Experience & Skills
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry (required).
- Proven experience in fire door inspection, installation, and maintenance.
- Solid understanding of fire safety regulations, carpentry techniques, and attention to detail.
- Full UK Driving Licence or equivalent (required).
- Health & Safety awareness and experience working safely on‑site.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
