What You’ll Do
- Build, service & repair engine wiring harnesses & sensors
- Development of build and test procedures to improve component reliability.
- Help to define wiring harnesses, sensors, actuators and equipment
- Generate and maintain service workload planning to meet production requirements
- Creation & maintenance of documentation to support the electrical activities of the business
- Stock control of electrical components & consumables
- Supervision of sub-contract wiring build & quality topics
- Supervision and guidance of junior members of the department
- Work alongside the Electrical Engineers to improve both current and historic harness & sensor assemblies
- Work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners
- Operate within cost and time-constrained environments
- Understand and ensure system compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards
- Support compliance with internal standards, ISO9001 QMS and ISO14001 topics
What we are looking for
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar harness technician role (Motorsport, military or aerospace) or a Bachelor’s degree in Motorsport Engineering (or a related field)
- Solid understanding of harnessing materials/products, build techniques, principles and systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical wiring diagrams, schematics and specifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with technical teams, clients and stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with appropriate engineering tools
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development within a technical environment
- Awareness of health and safety standards and best practices within an electrical department

This is an excellent opportunity to join our team, working hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm. Due to the location, we recommend applicants have access to their own vehicle.
